As you know, we never use our feet. If they marketed an inexpensive personal scooters, like the handicapped or elderly use, every American would own one and scoot around the house, scoot up to the mailbox, etc. You see a lot of people who have slightly larger properties with old golf carts to get around. Nobody here would choose to walk when they could consume (automotive or electric, respectively) fuel to move the same distance.
